I finally bottled that beer I brewed way back in december. Part of the delay was because I forgot a couple parts I needed for bottling when I moved, but also I've just been a bit depressed and unmotivated. But I finally did it. I spent the afternoon brewing a beer. This one will be very interesting, because the goal is for it to be like a pumpkin pie. I've never brewed a pumpkin beer before and all my amounts of spices and pumpkin were wild guesses. I'm excited to see how it will turn out.

A Bracket is a Mead with malt added. Or maybe a beer with honey added. I guess it depends on how much honey vs malt you use ( Read more... )

I did my jail time yesterday. Went in about 3pm on thursday and got out about 3pm on friday. The experience deserves a detailed posting. Whenever I'm away from the computer, I think of great ways to write up an interesting journal entry, but when I am sitting here, I would rather just read my friends page and then watch tv shows. le sigh ( Read more... )

I just finished bottling that IPA that I made. It only took me 5 months to finish that beer. I sampled it and it's pretty good. Got a nice, strong flavor.

The Ten was really funny. Just as I expected!
